Loved Kent Manor! A review of Kent Manor Inn

My new husband and I had our wedding at Kent Manor on October 23, 2005. We spent several months of planning with the Inns' coordinator, Julie, and it was a fantastic experience. As we both live in California, we placed a great deal of trust in the staff and their expertise. We were not disappointed! We made a couple of trips back to MD during our engagement and always made a point of visiting the Inn to have a meal, view the grounds (spy on other weddings!) and talk to the staff. We always had fantastic meals! And the staff was always consistently accomodating and professional. They even went out of their way to show us different rooms. Many of our guests stayed at the Inn for one or two nights and we heard mostly good reviews. Most folks loved the grounds, the view, food, staff and area. But a few had issues with the room temperature, water taste (must be on a well) and water pressure in the bathrooms. But everyone agreed that Kent Manor has plenty of character! I think it's important to have the right perspective, after all, this is an historic Inn, not a brand new facility. There's character involved! The rooms facing the Garden House probably offer the better view. Take advantage of the free bikes, kayaks and paddle boats! The Inn is also accessible by water if you wish to come by boat. Housekeeping staff was very thorough and efficient. The banquet and serving staff were outstanding! They demonstrated complete attention to detail and were very attentive. On several occassions, they went out of their way (the safety pin, cake boxing and cheese knife assistance come to mind!) Oh, and Sunday brunch is one of the best in the area! If you are considering some of the restaurants on the water in Annapolis, give Kent Manor a try! They have everything! The beauty of Kent Manor speaks for itself, especially on a beautiful Fall day. As fate would have it, my husband's favorite baseball team (Houston Astros) made it to the World Series while we were there. Although we had troubles finding the game on the sattelite TV (too many channels?) the lady at the front desk kept us posted on the scores. We are looking forward to our next trip back to Kent Manor!
