Loved it A review of Ramada Plaza Minneapolis
The rooms and helpful staff are the hotel's best features. Awkward location is the only drawback. I stayed here for two nights when I had to be at the University of Minnesota -- Minneapolis on business. I purchased the stay from Hotwire and was a little worried when I saw that the location, although labelled "University Area" on Hotwire's website, was not within walking distance to anything I was doing. It turned out that, although the location is a little tricky to get to if you don't know the area, it is right off the highway and can work fine if you have a car. The staff, I'm sure by necessity, is well-versed in giving driving directions, and was extremely helpful with directions both over the phone when I called (hopelessly lost, from my rented car) and in person (every time I needed to go anywhere after that). The room was large, nicely decorated, with a full size sofa against the window. The indoor swimming pool was large, clean, and warm. I would stay here again, especially if I could get another deal for under $50.
