Loved Hotel Heritage (----------------------------) A review of Hotel Heritage - Relais & Chateaux
We stayed at the Hotel Heritage in October 2003 in a Double Room - 2 beds - Superior. The Hotel Heritage was one of the hotels recommended in the Rick Steves travel book so we decided to give it a try. Our experience was fantastic. The room was elegant, spacious, and very clean. There was a small fruit basket and well stocked refrigerator in the room which was a welcome treat after a long day of exploring. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The attendant at the desk gave us a city map and pointed out some of the best sites and activities. We also received coupons for a 15% discount on a canal cruise. There was a computer in the hotel lobby that had internet access so we were able to connect to our e-mail. The hotel breakfast buffet was superb. There were plenty of choices and the quality of the food was excellent. We asked for early checkout the night before our departure because we had reserved seats on the 6:30am train back to Paris. The early checkout was no problem. The staff also made sure the breakfast buffet was ready early so the two of us could have breakfast before heading off to the train station. Since we were traveling on a limited budget we planned on taking the bus or walking the few miles to the train station. However, the attendant at the hotel arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the hotel and take us to the train station. The taxi was inexpensive (3 euro) for the trip to the train station. Plus it was not your normal big city US taxi that is dingy or dirty. This was a very nice Mercedes that was very clean and comfortable. The next time we are in Brugge we definitely plan on staying at the Hotel Heritage!
