Location! Location! Location! A review of St. Regis Princeville Resort
We just returned from a wonderful week at Princeville. The ocean and mountain views are truly spectacular. I found the rooms to be large and well maintained with all the amenities you would expect from a high end resort. Yes, the birds were aggressive at the Hanalei Cafe and you had to take multiple elevators to get to the rooms, but it sure didn't bother me.
The pool swim up bar was fun, a first for me. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to go around. The beach was a bit small but nice. There was food and drink service right on the beach, hard working servers were constantly coming by to take an order.
My couple of complaints would be about the beach. It was nice to sit on and soak up the sun, but not water friendly. The water was murky and snorkling here was a bust. There are sharp rocks just at the water line so getting in and out was tough on the feet and swiming was at your own risk. This didn't bother my wife one bit she swam in the pool and just hung out on the beach. Me, I take a beach vacation to use and enjoy the beach and water. So I give the hotel an excellent rating but the overall resort a very good.
