Location good....hotel bad! A review of Seton Hotel

After looking at the price of this place and reading all the reviews, I wasn't expecting the Ritz Carlton or anything, but I did expect a certain extent of cleanliness. Unfortunately, this place is far from that. Maybe I have a different definition of "clean", but this hotel was aweful. First of all, the first thing you are greeted with is among the tiniest (and dirtiest) elevators I have ever been in. The hallways leading to your room smell like they use cigarette smoke as an air freshner and never felt the need to run a vacuum to get rid of the nasty stuff on the floor. Then, once you enter your room, you can't help but notice the dingy carpet (its a dark crazy floral pattern so you don't see the dirt or stains on the carpet), the moth ridden-fuzzy looks-very-questionable blanket on the bed (if there even was one), and the grimey stains on the walls. Albeit, the bathroom is fairly new and suprisingly clean (well in comparison to the rest of the room.) Needless to say, the next day after check-in we bought Lysol antibacterial spray, clorox bleach wipes and towels to sleep on, and tried to disinfect the entire room as best we could before even touching anything. Bedbugs, toe nail clippings, dusty furniture, wierd smells, mosquitos bites-- these are only a few of the things we experienced at the Seton Hotel. Although, the location is great, I would definitely pay extra to stay in a cleanier hotel that's even farther away just so I wouldn't feel the need to bathe in disinfectant in fear of catching some kind of disease.
