Liked the Sheraton Hotel. A review of Sheraton Brussels Hotel
We stayed a weekend at the Sheraton in a twin bedded room. The beds were good; 2 double beds, and the room was also spacious enough with a small seating area. We were happy with the accommodation, as there was plenty of room, and the bathroom was nice and clean. The shower curtain was a minus, because the power shower provided so much water, that the floor was wet in no time. We noticed that the staff was very helpfull and kind ; even the chambermaids said hello, which doesn't happen everywhere! Also the breakfast buffet was very good, with lots of choice of hot (eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, waffles, pancakes with maple syrup etc.) and cold (bread, croissants, meat, cheeses, salmon, yoghurt, cereals, fresh fruit, juices).
As we have never stayed in a Sheraton hotel before, we have no comparison to whether this hotel was less luxurious than other Sheraton hotels, but we thought it was okay. But perhaps the price we paid had something to do with that : we paid 95,00 Euro p.p. for two nights, buffet breakfast included, so that was a very good offer. Probably things are different if you have to pay the full amount. Yes, the hotel is in a busy area, with one of the main roads running along the hotel.
You don't hear much noise, because the rooms are double glazed. We haven't noticed much of the "adult entertainment" in that region, though we did see about 5 small sexshops in one of the streets opposite of the hotel. And what is a big advantage : you are across the street of the shopping streets with many restaurants, a big shopping centre and about 15 minutes from the Grote Markt. And also the Museum voor Schone Kunsten (paintings, old and new : very interesting) is within walking distance as is the Museum of Brussels history on the Grote Markt. Don't go to the chocolate museum, as it is a rip-off. It is very easy to have a nice short break in Brussels. WARNING : we put our car in the Parking "Place Rogier", and wanted to leave on Sunday. But this parking is closed on Sunday, so be sure that you pick up your car in time. Luckily the Crowne Plaza had a key to open the door, and we didn't have to pay the fee of 50,00 Euro to get your car out!
