Like Family A review of Inn at Goose Creek
How often will I be able to write a review for a hotel and feel it a necessity to do so? THIS is the time. I have stayed all over the world, met characters, been pampered, and in general found very little negative to say about many, but The Inn at Goose Creek is like staying in my own home, only daily maid service. Only scheduled to stay a few nights on business, I inquired as to stay longerbecause we were enjoying our time so much, but the Inn was already booked following our stay.
I was the "Grandma" resident babysitter for my daughter while she had business. I spent much of my time with a 6 month old enjoying the atmosphere, reading library, tranquil seating areas and impeccably clean environment. I visited with the most genuine of hosts in Gary and Ylwa Mabee. Leisurely breakfast in the solarium set my morning. I even received a call one morning, to have some breakfast brought up, when they were unaware that I had an earlybird breakfast that morning. So as not to disturb myself and the baby, Gary and Ylwa offered another unoccupied guestroom to my daughter so she could burn the "midnight oil" and internet without disruption! Quiet, bright, alive with fresh well cared for plants, interesting artwork, keepsakes and whimsey, this is not your typical "look at my antiques" bed and breakfast atmosphere. This is home away from home... in a good way. By all means, be their guest. I know I plan on staying again.
