Less than pleasant stay A review of Hilton Garden Inn Queens/JFK Airport
We stayed at this hotel the night of our wedding because we were flying out of JFK the next morning for hawaii. We arrived at the hotel around 2am and we got our room pretty quickly. The hotel is pretty new and one of the nicer JFK hotels, although the neighborhood is not the best (but that probably goes for all the hotels in that area). We woke up at 4:30am because our flight left at 7am that morning and we could not figure out how to operate the shower. We called the front desk and they instructed us to move this lever on the bottom of the tub upwards. We had tried repeatedly and we called them back and told them it was broken and they said they would send someone up. We waited about 20 minutes and no one came so we decided to leave so we wouldn't miss our flight. They have shuttles running that leave every 30 minutes on the dot. The shuttle does not take you to the terminal, it takes you to a monorail stop which you can take to get to the terminal. Give yourself extra time because neither are very quick. Other than that, the room was new, clean, and decent. They give a AAA discount. If you stay here (and I wouldn't stay here again), make sure the shower works the night before.
