Le Meridien Dallas Disappoints A review of Dallas Marriott City Center
In my opinion, Le Meridien Dallas is not up to the 4-star standard of other properties in the chain.
The 3-year-old renovation seems to have been done on the budget of a La Quinta Inn with less than comfortable mattresses, thin foam conforters, and less than luxurious furnishings.
The front desk is understaffed to handle conventions and I waited in line for 40 minutes to check in.
When I discovered that my non-smoking room was full of smoke, I called downstairs and the staff member said, "well, it is a non-smoking room" and then offered to "spray" the room. Only after I insisted, was the hotel willing to move me to another non-smoking room.
In short, the hotel failed to live up to its rating -- both in the quality of service and the quality of the accomodations.
It certainly would be acceptable for someone who doesn't mind paying a premium for a very average and unremarkable hotel.
