Lake Tahoe and Caesars Hotel A review of MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa
Just returned form a 10 day vacation which included stops at Lake Tahoe, Yosemite and Reno. Lake Tahoe was beautiful and everything we expected although I would not recommend Caesars. We made our reservation well in advance and requested a non-smoking room. Upon arrival we were advised that the only available room was a smoking room next to the elevator. We were also told that the elevator could be heard but it would not be to bad. When asked if something else was available or would become available we were coldly told nope and maybe. The room was large but when we entered the TV was on and would not shut off and when we went to use the sink every time you turned on the hot water the pipes would make a noise that could be heard in the next room and beyond. I know this to be a fact as the other rooms had the same problem and it was a constant annoyance. Compared to other Caesars this hotel is smaller in size and the casino relatively quiet. We had no luck at all and if you plan on going for the gambling I would suggest Vegas. The Lake Tahoe area is beautiful and I would return but I would look else where for a place to stay. Postives included the gondola ride at Heavenly, the Dixie boat diner cruise, golf at Incline Village and the beautiful scenery. I wished we had time for the river rafting as it looked very relaxing.
