Keep looking A review of BEST WESTERN PLUS Edgewater Hotel
Not my favorite place to stay. After great cabins in Denali and great hotels in Anchorage, I was really disappointed in Hotel Edgewater in Seward. Our room faced the street and it was really hot. We didn't hear the people across the bar as much as we did the music pouring out of there til the wee hours of the morning.
We asked for a box fan from the front desk and they were helpful in meeting our needs. The problem with our street facing room was the people standing on the sidewalk, smoking or piling into cars and shuttle buses. We couldn't open our curtain or we'd be on display for the entire town.
The bathroom was dirty. Hair and paper was on the floor. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The shower curtain also smelled like a wet washcloth. I wouldn't recommend this hotel except for the location and the fact that our luggage was in our room upon arrival from the train and they also got our luggage to the train while we were on a tour.
