Just what we were looking for A review of Resort at Paws Up
When I went looking for a ranch to visit with my 9 year old son, I knew I had to find a place that had enough activities to keep him busy but that still had the feeling of quality and intimacy that I was looking for. We found it all at Paws Up. Staying in Tent City, we were part of the resort but also apart from it in terms of quiet and privacy. This was a luxury camping experience like I've never heard of. With the flap of the tent open, lying on the down comforter covered hand made bed, one looks out on pristine wilderness with an occasional hawk or eagle on the wing. Meals were prepared by our own Tent City "butler" attending to our every need and there was always someone to pick us up if we wanted to go to the main resort for an activity, a meal(delicious and beautifully presented for this picky ex-Manhattanite) or just to be with more people. The activities were all fantastic. The best clay bird course I've ever encountered (please don't pave the trail!!) and attractive well-kept horses. Floating down the Blackfoot and catching rainbow trout wasn't bad either. The Missoula county fair was on so we caught that too. Not to mention biking and hiking and playing at the lake. My son and I look forward to returning next year.
