Just About the Best A review of Iris Inn
New owners Dave and Heidi Lanford had no previous B & B or small inn experience, but they seemed like old pros to us. The Iris Inn was spotless, our room (the Wildflower) was large and comfortable. The bed was excellent. The common area had a nice ambiance, and we enjoyed chatting with Heidi over glasses of wine. She made reservations for us at the Staunton Grocery restaurant, and it, too, was excellent. Iris Inn breakfasts were also excellent, thanks to the hosts and their reliable assistant Cindy (Heidi calls Cindy her "angel").
The Iris Inn enjoys a great location, only thirty minutes or so from Montecello and perhaps fifteen minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
On our long, thirty-day road trip, we stayed in twelve B & B's and small inns. The Iris Inn ranked as number one or two.
We don't think you could make a better choice in the Waynesboro area.
