Just about perfect A review of Pand Hotel Small Luxury Hotel
This hotel is fantastic. the location is as good as it could be, on a quiet side street just across the road from the canal. It is only about a 20 second walk from the Tuilereen and Orangerie hotels, and in my opinion, in a better location as you do not have thousand of tourists walking right past the door all of the time.
The staff were the most helpful I have ever come across, happy to arrange any aspect of the stay. They suggested some restaurants to book before we got there, and made the reservations for us (The restaurant De Lotteburg is wonderful).
Breakfast is great as well- a continental affair but with the added bonus that they will cook you eggs/ bacon/ mushrooms on an AGA in the breakfast room if you want.
We stayed in a junior suite- it was a very comfortable room, although it was a bit small. The bathroom had an airbath and large shower. The only minor gripe was that we couldn't open the french windows all the way, probably some sort of security measure.
The only downside at all is that it is quite expensive. The junior suite for 2 nights cost 575 euros, and the breakfast is 15 euros per person per day extra (and nice as it is, you would have to eat a lot of breakfast to get your money's worth!). Having said that, it is cheaper than the 2 hotels mentioned above, and I don't belive that they could be any nicer.
I would completely recommend staying here- I plan to stay again if I am ever back in the city.
