July 4th nightmare... A review of Glacier Park Lodge
My family wanted to see Glacier Park. Thinking we would want to stay in the park, I called and asked where to stay. I was told the names of the different places and thought since it was the Glacier Park Lodge...it would probably be the best. Wrong! First, it's not in the park! They told me east Glacier, so I thought it was on the east side of the park...Wrong! Next it was way expensive for what you got! You need to pay before you come, too. If you cancel they charge way out fees! Next they bill you after you get there another amount...they don't even mention (I want to say another $20./room) We had a leaky facuet, a blind that did not close, no TV ...etc. I think a lawyer could make a fortune with a class action suit...of all who have stayed in this over-priced run down " JOINT "! It really would not have been so bad if the price were about 1/3 the cost it has some historic value if it were price right. There are cabins close for about 1/5 the cost. I don't know how available they are though. We had a terrible night! Thank goodness it was just one night!
