It's OK A review of BEST WESTERN PLUS Edgewater Hotel
We stayed at the Edgewater for two nights. It's comfortable, clean, and okay, but just doesn't seem to have that extra edge that would make it a 'great' place to stay. The rooms were on the smallish side, but were fine. The continental breakfast was fine, but I find the disposal plates, cups, spoons, everything, a bit much in this day and age. I'm not sure it's cost effective to buy disposables as opposed to china, cutlery, a dishwasher and a few staff. And, in my opinion, pay the extra $$ for the rooms on the upper floors - avoid the rooms on the ground floor that are behind reception - the one we had opened onto the street right near the hotel entrance, and unless you like everyone looking in at you when they pass, you can't open the curtains. We had a problem with our plumbing (blocked toilet) one night; the maid said she'd advised maintenance, but when we checked, they'd all gone home. We were given the plunger to do the job ourselves. It worked, but not what you expect from a hotel like this. To their credit, they did give us a credit on our account, but they need to improve their internal communications.
