It was Ok...... A review of Traveller's Inn Downtown
We just stayed at this hotel after attending a concert at the Save-On-Foods Centre. A short 5 minute (at the most) walk. Perfect location for us. The first thing I did notice about this hotel was actually the smell. A very strange smell.... After you got used to that it was OK. The bed was semi comfortable. The thing that I noticed was the rooms were very quiet and very dark with the curtains.
Staff at the front desk were just blah.... Not happy or angry..... The one ice machine in the building was located in the bottom floor of the parking garage. Not very convenient since the ice bucket you received from the hotel was quite tiny! Maybe they should put one on every floor next to the pop machine.
All in all our one night stay was OK, but I probably would not return.....
I've discussed your issues with the Manager and you're right...the ice buckets are too small. This issue will be addressed at our next manager's meeting after which you can expect changes to the size of the containers we use. The ice machine was moved after we received concerns from guests about the noise from and around the ice machine when it was located near our guest rooms. Although not in the most convenient location, the move restored the level of comfort that our guests have come to expect.
Should you plan a trip to Victoria again, please contact me personally to discuss your next stay at one of our fine Traveller's Inn locations.
