Island Paradise A review of Aston Waimea Plantation Cottages

My husband and I just returned from Kauai. My only regret is that we split our trip with 4 days in Maui, then 4 days in Kauai. If you are a nature lover, you will definitely want to spend all your vacation in Kauai. Waimea Canyon is a must and has hiking trails available for every level of outdoor enthuiast. Picture a green Grand Canyon. If you cannot hike, then spend the money to take a helicoptor ride through the canyon. Either way, it is spectacular. If you are into the the plain and simple, yet private for accommodations, then try the Waimea Plantation Cottages which is about a half hour from the canyon. Most other lodging is about 45 minutes to an hour away. Be prepared though as there is no AC. But, each cottage is decorated in days gone by and you still have the convenience of a fully stocked kitchen. Would definitely go back to hike the canyon and do a few river trips. Oh one last thing, THERE ARE NO SNAKES ANYWHERE!!!
