If You Are Looking To Be Transported Back to 1974, Stay Here A review of Doubletree Hotel Omaha - Downtown
Overall, the stay was fine.
The carpet in the room was BLACK with a 1970s design -- with your shoes off, you could truly feel how dirty the carpet was. The black carpet can also be found in the lobby.
The fan in the bathroom would shut off/on the entire time it was supposed to be on -- not that big of a deal, but annoying nonetheless.
Expect to pay $6 a day to park in their parking garage -- clean and felt safe in there.
The pool and workout room are right next to each other. The pool was FREEZING cold, and there was only a handful of running machines in the workout room (no free weights/weight lifting equipment).
Downtown Omaha is pretty much a dead-zone after dark -- unless you head to the Market (10-12 blocks away).
Front desk people were VERY nice.
