If you are just looking for a place to rest your head A review of Avalon Lodge
My family and I stayed at Avalon from December 27th thru December 30th. Overall it was a pretty good stay, but there are a few things that I feel I should point out. First the bad things....the room has a strong musty smell and the sheets and blankets on the bed were itchy. Also when I did some research in the area I found out that I could have got a similiar room for $59.00 compared to $104.00 that I paid. Now the good things..Hans and his wife were very polite. They picked us up and dropped us off for the our bus ride to the airport. Went to Caesers, Harrahs, Harveys, and Bill's Casino, but only had luck at Harveys. Hope this is useful.
Upon check-in every guest is encouraged to provide us with ongoing feedback to make sure everything is up to par. Unfortunately this family did not convey their experience to us, making it impossible to implement changes to their tastes.
This is the first time we have heard comments of this nature.
We do take exception to the comment about pricing. There are no lodges in our area offering the amenities Avalon Lodge does. Avalon Lodge is a boutique style motel where you get fireplace, Starbucks coffee, wireless high speed internet access, continental breakfast, premium bedding including 100% cotton linen, tv with hbo, refrigerator, microwave, unique décor and hair dryer in every room. Just to mention some of the amenities that sets this lodge apart.
We agree that "if you are just looking for a place to rest your head" and not the quality and quietness Avalon Lodge has to offer --other lower quality offerings might be more attractive.
