I thought I had seen it all A review of Hyatt Regency Tulsa

I have just completed a stay at the Crowne Plaza in Tulsa and being my first visit to the town was interested to see what this once thriving metropolis would be like. The hotel is downtown which seems to consist mainly of open air car lots (I take it parking in Tulsa is never a problem). The hotel entrance contains a bizarre chandelier sculpture reminiscent of something from a 70s science fiction film. The decor of the hotel is best described as based on the interior design of your average pizza hut. I particularly enjoyed the unclean toilets (washrooms in American) and paint flaking off the ceiling in my room. The pool area was equally charming with its mildew laden roof and walls and made all the more so by a maintenance man pouring in chlorine whilst I was swimming. One last comment - don't expect the shuttle service to actually take you any where - it didn't turn up for us despite having booked it at the front desk.
