Hotel Egmond can't be ebat A review of Hotel Egmond
I spent three nights at the Egmond in October 2004. It was the perfect combination of comfort and convenience. From the hotel's website you can download a set of photos showing the walking route from the train station. It's an easy, pleasant 10 minute walk through a quiet part of the city. As long as your luggage has wheels, it's a good way to save a few Euros. Brugge is congested, so the Egmond's location, with it's large garden abutting the park make it seem an oasis of green and calm in the city. The owners are gracious and helpful. One has the feeling of being a guest in a refined private home. Even so, one doesn't feel the constraints of a private home. Room keys fit the front door, and the owners told me to be sure and take my key with me if I planned a late night out. The rooms are scrupulously clean and well appointed. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of high quality choices. I would definitely stay at the Egmond on a future trip to Brugge.
