Horrible business practices ever!! A review of Red Carpet Inn

I will never refer nor visit a Red Carpet Inn anywhere in the United States. During my mothers visit to the state of Florida, I reserved her a room at Red Carpet Inn assuming they would be a suitable choice for her.

At the time of check-in, my mother paid her room rate (which normally covers a room key) signed the necessary paperwork and waited for the room key. At that point, she was told that it would require a $10 deposit to recieve this key. What exactly was the room fee for, if you do not get a key???????

Secondly, the amenities of the room was listed as having cable TV - when she got to her room, the remote control had been removed. She called the front desk, and again was told that it would take a $10 deposit for the remote. Why list the TV as an amenitie, when you have to pay for it?????????

None of these extra charges where listed anywhere in the office, nor were these charges explained prior to her paying for the room.

Red Carpet Inn has the worst business practices I have ever seen - not to mention the violation of policy notification laws.
