Home Away From Home A review of Embassy Suites Hotel Tucson-Williams Center
First, here are the negatives, and they are very few. The furnishings are dated and there was one spot in our room where the wallpaper had started to peel off. But that's it. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay. The full hot breakfast is a highlight. You get your choice of pancakes, which were really good, eggs anyway you want them, hash browns, choice of bacon or sausage, and then a nice buffet of fruit, cereals, etc. The eating area, outside or inside is very nice as well. The grounds arekept up well, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There was a USA Newspaper hung on my door every morning and the housekeeper kept us well stocked with towels, coffee and all the amenities. The rooms are very large and its nice to have a 25" TV in each room. The central location is excellent and close to several great restaurants. We liked El Paso Bar B Q, Mimi's Cafe and Sweet Tomatos Salad Buffet. These are all restaurants we don't have in Minneapolis. There is a Target right next door in case you forgot to pack some items. Down the road, the Park Place Mall is fabulous and not to be missed. This is a great home away from home. We stayed five days and didn't want to leave. That is the sign of a good hotel. For the money, I am convinced that you couldnt find a nicer hotel in Tucson.
