Hawthorne Hotel was Heavenly A review of Hawthorne Hotel
I had a wonderful two nights at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, MA. A
friend and I had booked the two nights to celebrate our birthdays and
attend a special exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum. The Hotel was
magnificent, the third floor room overlooked the Common,a lovely park
with a monument in the center. Of course the two days we were there,
Salem had just experienced 3 feet of snow, yes that was feet! The Hotel
had been right on their toes though, the guest parking lot was cleared
when we arrived at 3 and the sidewalks were shoveled. The furnishings
with the two wonderful wing chairs and table, gave us a great place to
sit and sip wine and gaze out at the Christmas lights on the Common. We
had dinner that night in the "Nathaniel" the hotels dining room, there
is also a pub with a bar. The meal in the dining room was wonderful,
the best swordfish I have had in a long time. Service was impeccable.
Everyone on the staff was just delightful and always willing to help.
The next morning the walk to the Peabody Essex was only a block away and the sun was shining.
I would highly recommend a stay at the Hawthorne Hotel, can't wait to
