Happy to have stayed here, would stay here again. A review of Comfort Inn
I stayed here for 2 nights on Oct. 22, 2004
This is a must for travelers on a tight budget who don't want to pay the outrageous prices for Manhatten hotels of less quality. This hotel is pretty new and you can tell when you walk up to the building. I was very impressed with the cleaniness of the lobby, room and the friendly staff. The rooms are smaller then those of other hotels outside NYC, but functional. There were clean linens and towels. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom. There was always security personnel at the door each night. We traveled to the hotel from the airport by subway and there stop (Queensboro Plaza) is a 1/2 block to the hotel, if that. Riding the N,W or #7 trains from Queensboro Plaza. There convieniantly located 5 stops by subway to the Times Square 42nd St stop ( Where you can transfer to any # of trains heading all over Manhatten and the outer bouroughs). The neighborhood is ethinically mixed and there are a couple of fast food joints. Although for some, this neighborhood may not look safe, depending on what your used to. For 2 single gals we felt safe here and traveled alot by subway to and from at night. There are lots of people around the area and in the subway. The morning of our departure we took the car service to JFK (availble to hotel guests for $18 each way to and from area airports) they were prompt and friendly. In closing our stay here was great and I would definantly stay here on my next trip to NYC.
