Great Weekend Stay A review of Indian Wells Resort Hotel
Our friends booked two rooms for $50.00 each at the Indian Wells Resort through a Hotwire e-mail alert for a Saturday night stay. After reading some of the reviews posted on Trip Advisor and Travelocity, I doubted that we would be happy with accomodations. This place turned out to be wonderful. Valet parking was free, as was the 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm Happy Hour. We made good use of that! We upgraded our rooms to suites on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and golf course with a gorgeous mountain view and balcony. The upgrade for both suites was 60.00 total, not each. Both suites were beautiful and large with a new sofabed and chair with ottoman in the living room, comfortable beds, huge bathroom with a 6 foot tub and seperate shower. Everything was very, very clean. The staff was extremely attentive, especially Alex at the front desk. The pool and jacuzzi were warm, clean and open 24/7. Yes, there are a few things that need to be improved. Both TV's in our suite were small, but the two in our friend's suite were 25 or 27 inch tv's. The showerhead didn't spray out quite right. The bedspreads have an 80's style to them, but they were clean, no holes, no smells. They are remodeling the part of the restaurant that looks out onto the pool. I think they are continually making improvements on the property. Probably half of the rooms look out onto the parking lot or overlook Hwy 111, but the other half rooms are on the inside towards the pool and golf course. No, it's not the Ritz, but neither were the prices and I feel we got a very good value for the money. I can't wait to go again.
