Great Value A review of Red Cliffs Lodge
Well, what a treat. Sure the gravel parking lot isn't much, as the previous reviewer wrote, but perhaps he needed to park the car and go in. In any case, it really is not a $300-$400 a night lodge but it is very nice for the area. Our room was facing east and overlooked marvelous red cliffs and the Colorado River. The rooms are split level which gives you the same wonderful view from the bedroom area, the kitchen/living area, and the large covered cement patio - with a short wall and wrought iron gate leading to the grass lawn - and then the Colorado River. At the Lodge we ate outdoors two nights and had a window seat the other two nights. The food was great, the wine selection adequate, and the service excellent.
Our room was immaculate, quiet, and very comfortable.
The biggest treat of all is the movie museum which occupies a huge area beneath the lodge. It is a must see. Really.
Bottom line. We shall return.
