Great Value A review of Garfield Suites Hotel
I stayed in a one bedroom suite this past weekend paying $69 per night. The suite contained a large, nicely furnished living room/dining room, a full kitchen including dishwasher, a separate bedroom with queen sized bed and exceptionally large closet, and a bathroom that was rather small considering the total size of the suite. The living room and bedroom both had a television and telephone and a free high speed Internet connection was provided on the living room desk.
My suite was clean, nicely furnished and had new carpeting. Overall it was larger and better furnished than many all suite hotels I have patronized.
Because of a previous post, I asked the parking attendant/bellhop for the cost of the valet parking provided by the hotel ($19 per night with in-and-out privileges) and whether other options were available (there is a public garage around the corner on 9th street charging $5 per night). I parked in the public garage. If the weather was bad, or if I wanted in-and-out privileges, I would have probably opted for the hotel garage.
The hotel is located across the street from the Cincinnati Public Library and is in easy walking distance to anything in the downtown Cincinnati area. I did not use my car the entire weekend.
Overall, this hotel is a great value for a downtown hotel with a convenient location.
