Great Stay A review of Courtyard Pittsburgh Downtown
I stayed at the Courtyard Downtown Pittsburgh for business in September 2006. The hotel is in a good location downtown, on a relatively quiet street, just 1 block from the Westin Hotel. The staff was corteous and the hotel is quite new overall with a nice lobby and free internet access in all of the rooms. The rooms are good size, well appointed, and modern, with nice bathrooms (granite countertops). My room had a microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. Ask for a room with a city view on a high floor (quiter). These rooms only have 2 queen beds rather than a king, but the view is nicer than the "courtyard" view. There is a 24-hr "store" in the lobby to buy essentials, including beer. The beds are ok, not as comfortable as the top hotel chains, but the price is right. Room service is from the Sonoma Grill, a nice Italian restaurant attached to the hotel. I had a drink at the bar, seems like a cool place. Overall, would stay there again for business or pleasure.
