Great stay, but noisy! A review of Hyatt Regency DFW
I stayed at the Hyatt Regency DFW for 5 nights, arriving Monday, October 11, and departing Saturday, October 16. I received the room through Priceline for only $38, so my expectations were low. However, the hotel was in better shape than some other posts had led me to believe. The rooms have a neutral decor and a working sliding glass door with a narrow balcony. I was on the 30th floor (which I believe equates to about the 10th or 11th floor), so it was nice to open the door and have fresh air. But, being located on top of DFW airport, the noise can really get you until 11 pm or so.
I was treated very well at check-in and always greeted by the doormen when I would leave or return. They validate your parking, which is a nice bonus. Parking was easy, close, and convenient. Gym is adequate...several treadmills and stationary bikes with earphones available (and alcohol pads for sanitizing). Just plug into your machine and choose which news/sports channel to listen to while working out. Also some free weights, but unfortunately only up to 15 pounds.
Very happy with the stay and would stay again. Not sure what this hotel's future is with the new Grand Hyatt being built across the street at Terminal D.
