Great stay at Miramonte A review of Mira Monte Inn
Three couples spent a week in Bar Harbor at the Miramonte Inn. It is a restored Victorian home, built in the 1860's. The gardens were beautiful, the rooms comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious! Marian Burns is a wonderful inkeeper - she was very accessible and knowledgeable about all aspects of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, giving us good advice on trails to hike, other kinds of sightseeing, and the best shopping and restaurants. The Miramonte is charming, and the location is very convenient to downtown. Front rooms were a little noisy when the windows were open, but the rear rooms were quiet. Each room has its own private balcony, overlooking some part of the gardens. Air conditioning is available for summer heat. I would heartily recommend staying at the Miramonte and hope that we can return soon.
