Great spot for families on the weekends A review of Hyatt Regency Dearborn
Checked in for one night in late March to take the kids over to the Henry Ford Museum. They have tickets available at the hotel for this attraction which is within a mile of the hotel.
A mall sits across the street and is convenient for shopping and getting a bite to eat, though the hotel has nice restaurants as well.
The pool is nice along with a spa, whirlpool and fitness center. The staff was professional and courteous. Five glass elevators serve from the middle of the lobby that allow for a nice view of the interior while going to your room.
Parking attendants are available at the front door for a modest fee and will take care of your car, or you can park free in front of the building in a fairly well lit parking lot. This was important to us as we hear car breakins occur frequently in the area, but with attendants running around, this was not a problem on our visit, and appears to be no different then any other city.
The rooms were clean, bathrooms were spotless, the shower message was a plus. I would highly rate this hotel for a family visit while visitng The Henry Ford Museum and Village over any other hotel in the area.
Be sure to ask for a map to the museums as there are no signs posted anywhere in the area and we had to ask for directions at a corner store.
