Great situation A review of Alma Hotel
We had a great stay here for two nights. It was close to the Central station which was an easy train ride from the airport. The cobblestones are a little hard on the wheels of the luggage but that is what is expected to have the atmosphere of the centre of an old city.
We had a map with us and went straight there, plenty of street signs in both French and Flemish.
We were given a smoking room which was disappointing since we'd requested a non smoking, but a quick trip down to the desk had us in an even better (non smelly) room on the top floor. We found the breakfast had plenty of choice, great to be able to cook your own boiled eggs, although we do love bacon which was not offered. Quite enough for a continental breakfast.
We had one very quiet night on but the second a group of men decided that the narrow street below was the best place for an all night party.
We loved the position of the hotel, only one street away from the Grand Place and with an expanse of great streets to wander through for hours.
We were very happy with our choice.
