Great resort, so-so casino A review of Quinault Beach Resort and Casino
No offense, but I've never been to Ocean Shores and found it anything but odd. It's shoreline, and the town itself, lacks character and charm. So, I was pleasantly suprised to discover the Quinault Beach Resort and Casino. The hotel lobby is impressive and seems more like a lodge then hotel. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. The hotel is located closer to the water than any I've seen in Ocean Shores and, although it was raining the entire time we were there (doesn't it always in Ocean Shores) the view was beautiful. We took advantage of the hotel spa and had some great massages. The indoor pool unfortunately was packed with kids every time we tried to use it. The lobby includes a nice cozy piano bar. Unfortunately, the restaurant at the hotel was overpriced and almost impossible to get into. Don't even bother with the snack bar in the casino. And the casino itself was cramped, smoky and unimpressive.
