Great place to stay A review of BEST WESTERN PLUS Yosemite Gateway Inn
My husband and I stayed one night here. It was a wonderful woodsy setting. The motel complex went up a hillside. Our room was #333, an end unit on the upper floor (second). Our accomodations were great! The room had 2 comfortable queen beds. The furnishings were very nice and two bouqets of silk roses in the room, one on the dresser and one on the dinette table , which had 2 wingbacked upholstered chairs. French doors opened up onto a balcony to a woodsy setting behind the room. Amenities for this room included small refrigerator, microwave, wet bar with tiled countertop. hair dryer with a nightlight , ironing board, TV, alarm clock. The bathroom had a large countertop with 1 sink. Get past the ugly brown color of the toilet, sink and tub! Lighting in the bathroom was poor. The flourescent fixture was not over the sink area making it difficult to shave or put on makeup. There were 2 heat lamps which you needed to turn on to provide extra light. My only other complaint was the towels. They were the thinnest and roughest towels I have ever had to use in a motel. We had dinner at Hondo's Steakhouse. We both had the ribeye steak which was fine. Meal came with soup or salad and fresh bread. There was an indoor and outdoor pool on the property. I saw pictures of it but did not check them out. Also there was an excersise room which we did not see. I would reccommend the Best Western and would stay there again. I'd request the same room also.
