Great place, lots to do A review of Skytop Lodge
We recently spent four days and nights at Skytop Lodge. We are a family of 5 with kids ages 8, 6, 2 and we were with another family of 5 with similar aged children. We really enjoyed Skytop. It is in a truly breathtaking setting. The kids loved it. There are plenty of activities for everyone. The food is excellent with two choices, the main dining room or the golf course restaurant. Although this resort is expensive and keeps up a formal image it is still basically a very friendly, laid back Poconos resort. The rooms and public areas were kept clean. The kids used the camp in the clouds club one rainy day and had a great time. The fishing is terrific. All of the children caught fish and were so excited. The hiking is great too. The only drawbacks are that the downstairs areas are a bit dated and the carpets could use some refreshing. Also, the service is not what you would expect in a five star resort with these kinds of prices. Friendly, but not impressive. Overall, we had a ball and I say give it a try!
