Great place, but too bad for theft from room A review of HYATT house Miami Airport
We stayed at the Summerfield often. Never had any complaint. Good service, good price. Large spacious rooms. Regretfull, last stay there, housekeeping "CLEARED OUT" our room, removing items of value * +- 500US$ worth" claiming first that "you had checked out", Then they claimed that the items were "accidentaly thrown out" with the trash." but they beat around the bush when we insisted to check the trash bins to retrieve items ( They probably knew that the items were NOT to be found there). Then claiming that "hotel security" has to investigate. Anyway, after repeated calls and delays that nothing happened, housekeeping supervisor reluctantly called in Miami PD ( two days later), who came and took statementsz from us, and list of items. We were to be informed by hotel regarding their insurance coverage for loss. After repeated faxes and calls, with no reply from hotel management on reimbursement, except a short reply from "risk management" claiming that no liability was assumed by hotel, "after extensive investigation" letters were sent to corporate. Now, months afterwards. Not even the decency to answer!! It seems to me that there is a scam between housekeepers and someone housekeeping mgtmnt whereas they cover each others ***. (I would be carefull about leaving ANYTHING of value in this (of any other place).We intend to pursue this matter further. I am sorry to state that WYndham Corporate has never answered our complaints regarding the theft nor the treatment received afterwards.Too bad. I liked staying there.
