Great Location numerous problems let it down A review of Metamorphis
Arrived late at around 10pm due to plane delay. We were 2 couples celerbrating 40th birthdays. Receptionist said that we only had 2 x single rooms booked, even though I produced my confirmation that the agency had sent to me. We had to end up with 2 x twin rooms and she put our rate up by 24 euros per night even though I had it in black and white my cost of what the double room charge was they would not honour it. As it was late we sat down and had a meal in the hotel restaurant, which was nice. When we asked for the bill the waiter came out with a figure and we just paid - big mistake, when we realised later on in the evening that he double charged us we asked him and he just said that he had looked at the wrong receipt (big tip in prague ALWAYS check your bill throughly). Only allowed 1 teabag per day in room if you ask for more, they make you feel like Oliver Twist AND they don't give you any. Rooms nice and clean, but don't have our room - 25, loud music from bar across road, and no view of the square. Generally,we found the staff to be not very friendly, fantastic location, shame about all of the problems would'nt stay again or recommend.
we have read your review on your stay at our hotel Metamorphis. As you are able to see, our hotel always gets the best reviews and our guests are very satisfied with us. Of course, you can not meet everybody´s demands. But in your case, we have done our best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. As already explained, for your booking, we received a booking for 2x sngl use rooms, for the sngl use rooms rate. So when you arrived and requested for twin rooms, we had to change the booking and the rate accordingly. The former booking for 2 sngl use rooms has been done by your travel agency and we followed the booking as we got it from them. Particularly, we tried to do our best, when you arrived late and the receptionist had sngl use rooms prepared for your arrival. So she had to change and adjust, so that you could get the twin rooms you requested. Of course, there is a difference in comfort when only one person is staying, thus the different rate. The rate you had on your confirmation was a confusion of the travel agency you booked with and we received only a booking for sngl use rooms.
For the restaurant bill, the waiter has appologised to you for the mistake - which can occurr and we are aware of that.
For the tea bags - it is our special service for the guests to provide tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, free of charge. Thus you have one portion of tea and coffee daily free of charge. This is the hotel rule and we have already explained this to you. We do not have problems with this at all.
For the rooms and mentioned noise, of course, we are a city centre hotel and you have not requested calm rooms, neither with view of the square, which we offer. If you compare to the other reviews, you may found out that we always try to provide the best service possible. We are sorry that you did not feel this way. There are lots of very satisfied guests who could explain and we appreciate them returning to us several times.
