Great location, Nice place to stay A review of Marriott's Mountain Valley Lodge at Breckenridge
This was our first trip to Breckenridge, CO and our second skiing trip. The Marriott Mountain Valley Lodge is in an excellent location (one of the reason's we booked this hotel) great views, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the convenience of the ski storage and the short walk to the lifts and slopes and town. There are plenty of restaurants available within walking distance to the hotel. One in particular is the Quandry Grill, great food just beyond the swimming pool across from the fire pit. The one drawback we encountered is the bed in our room. The bed was very uncomfortable, at first we thought it was just the altitude that kept us awake the first night, but it came to the point that my husband had to sleep on the couch to get any sleep at all. The night before we left we noticed that there was a sheet on plywood between the mattress and box springs! I did complain to the manager and was told that they were in the process of remodeling rooms and this one had not been done yet. So before you spend your $200.00 a night on a room make sure you get one with new bedding! Overall it was a great trip - if you plan on doing any snowmobiling go to Tiger Run Tours and ask for Kevin to be you guide!
