Great location. Food varies wildly A review of Flanigan's Inn

W stayed for 2 nights in late August, 2002. We found the room to be as promised, quite spacious and comfortable. Access to a tiny but sufficient and certainly not crowded pool. Wonderful views from our room and the restaurant. Quiet and peaceful. Within easy walking distance of many restaurants and shops yet no crowds of tourists. The Zion national park shuttle had a stop right outside the hotel, it couldn't have been easier to get to the park - the entrance to the park was about 10 min walk from the hotel. All good so far, but the food! We had dinner/breakfast there both days. The first day the food was very very good - albeit expensive and the service quick and efficient. The second day they must have switched cooks because the food was ....well ... not good. Still expensive but it took them 45 min just to bring the appetizers (tomatoes and mozzarella) and it was tasteless and dull. I won't even describe dinner! Go back? We'd certainly stay there again but we wouldn't eat there.
