Great if you can get it for under $60 A review of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cocoa Beach Oceanfront

I paid $59 for one room at for one night in early Jan. The price is not really fantastic but it's not too bad either. This hotel has only a small number of rooms that has full ocean view; the rest of the room has partial view. But don't bother to upgrade ($30 extra) because if you can be on at least the 4th floor, the view is just as good. All of the rooms have balcony unlike the Hilton a few blocs down.

Their swimming pool is really a kiddie pool--it's tiny. The beach area is very nice although the water is not as clear as on the Gulf Coast.

The hotel staff is not very knowledgeable. I asked for direction to a good seafood place but couldn't find it. I asked for direction to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge near the Kennedy Space Center.

The direction was terrible because the person at the front desk has actually never been there. We had to stop by a citrus grove by the road to ask for help. We eventually got to this wonderful place just before the sunset because of spending 2 hours on the road looking for it.
