Great hotel A review of Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Roanoke
This was are first time staying at a Country Inn and Suites. This trip to Roanoke, Va. was for fun. I haven't been to Roanoke, Va. since the late 80's. My girlfriend had made reservations with another hotel 40+ miles to the north of Roanoke at a Days Inn. And the night before are trip I did some checking and found that this Hotel was next to a Truck stop which to me could have been a problem. I found this out by going on Google and downloading a satellite photo of the area. And as we drove towards Roanoke, Va. I had downloading several different hotel choices in Roanoke. Are trip was also to go see someone (GRAD) from college in Lexington, Va. so we had tryed to get a Hotel closer but all the good ones had been taken are were to much. I then with the help of my Girlfriend came up with the (COUNTRY INN AND SUITES) hotel I called via my cell phone. And was told they had rooms and the cost after AAA would be right at $98.00 dollars with tax. When we arrived it was before check in and right before we went to are room. I asked the young man where was a good Seafood Resturant for some fried trout. He told us the Harbor Inn which he gave us directions. We got to are room and it had a living area with tables and sofa, Ref, and Microwave oven and several dressing mirrors. The a/c was cold and the bed being a king was very good. And we stayed for 4 days from May 30th thru the 3rd of June 2006. The staff at this hotel was very young but knew a lot. And the hotel had a inclosed swimming pool with Jacuzzi. And a computer with printer any guest could use up in the lobby area. The Continental Breakfast was very good they had frozen pork links, omelettes, and hard boiled eggs out of the shells. Toast, bagels and a bagel cutter grits, oatmeal, juices, and so many other things. But the best thing was the waffles that you the guest would pour the batter onto the waffle iron and when done you had a hot fresh waffle to go with your meal. This Hotel is a TEN IN MY BOOK Thanks.
