Great hotel w great views A review of Hilton Burlington

We stayed at this hotel over Valentine's weekend, for the Winter Festival in Burlington (I actually participated as a snow sculptor).

While a little on the pricey side for Burlington, this hotel was terrific. It was very convenient to things in Burlington (even with the below zero temps), and had a really great view of Lake Champlain. If you go down about a block you can go to the waterfront park where there's a boathouse (and I guess there must be alot of boats around there in the summer). My wife and son walked partly across the lake, which my son loved.

The rooms at the Wyndham seemed very nice (think Marriott/Hilton). The lobby is fairly big, there's a decent restaurant and a small bar there.

The bar was quiet (which was actually good, because all the bars nearby were packed to the rafters with UVM students).

The staff was very attentive. When I checked in and mentioned that my wife and son would be joining me, the staff person asked if my son liked to swim, and put us in a room near the indoor pool. This room actually had a balcony that led directly to the pool...an arrangement I haven't seen before at an indoor pool. My son spent every spare second in the pool. They also had a long, narrow whirlpool which could accommodate lots of people.

That's it. Seems like a very nice hotel. A little pricey, but it has great views and a great location.
