Great hotel, location so-so A review of Radisson Blu EU Hotel, Brussels
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for a long weekend and were very impressed by the overall quality.
The rooms are categorised into three types - fresh, chic and fashion (I think!) We had one of the 'fresh' rooms, which was perhaps a little "zingy" for our taste, but nevertheless very uplifting.
A couple of downsides - the breakfast (if you choose to order it in-room) was a staggering €25 per person, which means around £35 for two people! Also, the gym facilties were a little "basic". The sauna was OK, but there were no separate male and female changing rooms! The staff were friendly enough, although they didn't seem particularly knowledgable about the area (restaurants, bars etc.) Perhaps this was because there was actually very little going on in the area!
Having said this, if you are a business traveller I think the location would have been spot on. The rooms were immaculate, the beds very comfy and the bathrooms luxurious. If travelling for pleasure, be aware that the city centre (Grand Place etc.) are approx. 30 mins walk away.
