Great Hotel and service A review of Hotel Kampa Garden

My Wife and I stayed here fron Jan 21 to 24th 2006.From the outside it looks bland BUT inside its nice and renovated in 2005.The staff were very helpful and pleasent(They also sell the transport tickets on reception) Rooms were very warm(You control the heating so as hot as you want). It is kitted out in Ikea so a good standard(minibar, sat TV,Hairdryer).Breakfast was very good. The position of the hotel you cant get better 100 yards from the steps of the Charles Bridge.Walk over the bridge and you are in the old town 5 mins.Go left and you are in Mala Strana ideal for Petrin Tower (10 mins to funicular)and the Castle was up the hill.Nearest metro Malostranska. We had a fantastic time here even tho it was Minus 10 but hey there's lots of walking or the trams to get around if you do need them.Just one last thing,Getting from the Airport was easy for only (20kcs)YES 50 pence.Buy your tickets from the transport counter in the terminal.Walk out of the Terminal to the BUS stop no 119(Big yellow sign you cant miss it) to Dejvicka (metro).TWO stops and you are there(Malostranska)next stop and you are in the old town (Staromestska). All on the same ticket. If we go back we will stay at the Kampa Garden again.
