Great food, ok rooms, bad NYE. A review of The Siena Hotel

My husband and I stayed at the Siena on New Year's Eve recently. I'd always wanted to go there Great food, ok rooms, bad NYE.and had heard many good things about it's Italian restaurant, Il Palio. We paid $500 for a NYE package that included a 7-course meal.

The meal was fantastic. Every course was great, and so was the wine.

The room was just average, with a view of the Applebees across the street. Service was fine, hard to review since we only stayed one night.

I would go back to eat at Il Palio, but not to stay at Siena. The rooms are overpriced for the location and decor.

I will NEVER go back for NYE, which they advertise to be a big, fun, decadent celebration. It was boring, with the lobby acting as dance floor, and all people over 40 (no offense, it's just not the scene for 20-somethings and they should know before they go). The music was bad.

It was so bad we just spent our most quiet NYE ever in our hotel room.
