Great comfort, friendly staff A review of Hotel Prinsenhof Bruges
I notice that there are no very recent reviews of the Prinsenhof on TripAdvisor. Having just returned, I can report that all the positive things said below are true. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and help with all arrangements, including giving directions and booking restaurants and tours. The rooms are decorated in a formal, romantic style. Our room (number 34) had a cloud like light blue canopy. Sheets and pillows were excellent. The bathroom was sparkling clean and had nice extras like fluffy robes and toiletries. Note that a number of things carry extra charges, including parking and internet access in the room (a computer with free access is provided on the first floor landing). At the time of our visit there was a construction project going on across the street, as a former convent is being converted into a luxury hotel. Our room looked out on the scaffolding of this construction, and we could hear the noise of the work starting early in the morning. I realize the hotel cannot do anything to control this noise, but potential visitors might want to take it into consideration.
