Great choice! A review of BEST WESTERN Plaza Inn
This trip was super spur of the moment. We were already about an hour and a half from home when my husband, on a whim, heads south. It took us about three more hours to get there. Fortunately, there is a Super Wal-mart on the right as you enter Pigeon Forge. Mom and Dad have stayed at the Plaza several times, so we went straight there because we didn't have time to be choosy. We only got to stay the one night, but I'll take what I can get.
We went to Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg and visited an amusement park, but our 4 and 2 year olds' favorite part was the pools at the hotel - 2 outdoor and one indoor with waterfalls, kids pools, and hot tubs.
The room was super clean, big and we were happy to be there. There was a fireplace, fridge, microwave and room to move. The only thing that I could say we had any trouble with was that the air was understandably off in the room when we checked in a little after midnight. It took about two hours for it to get to a comfortable temperature.
STAFF AND BREAKFAST
The hotel staff was extremely nice and allowed us to check out as late as could possibly be allowed since we arrived so late and we were only there one night. The continental breakfast was nice and the lady working it that morning was a peach. The breakfast area is beside the river.
