Graeat hotel in a great location A review of King Charles Boutique Hotel Residence
We stayed here for a week in Sept this year. It is situated in Vhysrad but the tram is very close to the hotel so it's only a few stops to the centre. There are local Tabak shops opposite the tram stop where you can buy your tram tickets and some of the shops were open until 10pm - very handy.
The rooms were a good size and very clean. There was an LCD tv with computer for internet access (fee payable). The jacuzzi bath was great and perfect for resting those tired feet. You are also provided with bath robes. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were lovely and thick.
There was no sound from trams, cars, crowds etc but we were at the back of the hotel away from the road. saying that it's not on a busy road anyway so I am sure there wouldn't be a problem. There is a great restaurant next door on the corner serving very good and reasonably priced food - the peppered steak was lovely. The waitresses speak a little english too but if you get stuck just point at the english menu. There is a lift so you don't have to worry about lots of steps.
The staff were very pleasant at the hotel and english speaking. They will give you advice on anything should you need it. You are also given an information sheet which is very helpful. The maids and breakfast staff were also very friendly and obliging. Breakfast was very ample - bacon and eggs, toast, bread rolls, cheeses, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, tea/coffe/juice - basic fair but sets you up for the day. There's also a bottle of champagne (fizzy cava) so you can have bucks fizz at breakfast - it's first come first served though!
